Is Vancouver Any Different?

Many people often wonder whether Vancouver is any different from any other major Canadian city in its heating needs. There are some people (that are often misinformed) who even question whether or not the people of Vancouver need heating at all! Obviously, if you’ve ever lived in Vancouver (or anywhere close for that matter) you’d know that this is a ridiculous thing to question at all. The entire province of British Columbia faces some generally bone-chilling winters, while the fall and spring aren’t too forgiving either. For most of BC’s inhabitants, the furnace will be in use for the majority of the year and half of it at the very least to provide heating for millions of people across the province.

It’s a pretty ignorant thing to say or think, but people often feel this way; they see our province as some sort of Canadian California, when that couldn’t be further from the truth. This city gets quite cold even by Canadian standards, and you can’t not have heating, especially in September through April (at the very earliest). Obviously, as millions will need furnacing it is only fate that many will be left in distress with dysfunctional furnaces, and that’s where our team comes in. There will be a high demand for furnaces fixtures in the following weeks especially, so be sure to call us as soon as you’re ready to have the problem handled. We’re a team of seasoned veterans when it comes to fixing furnacing units, and we’ll tackle your problems without a hassle.

Remember, you may last a few days, maybe even a week or two, but it’s completely unrealistic to try and continue without a working furnace in the longterm. This is a problem that for most people, is an ASAP concern, and it certainly should be the same for anyone during the colder months, and even the warm months so it’s something you don’t end up forgetting and regretting! It shouldn’t be a surprise that so many Canadians feel that British Columbians are whiny about heating, when you have places like Winnipeg and Toronto facing what could be played off as a second ice age. Clearly, our winters can be viewed as mild to others, which would explain why Vancouverites complaining about the cold can be seen as “whiny”.

Whether or not a place is cold is also a matter of perception. It’s entirely possible for me to consider -20 degrees celsius to be warm (even though it’d be ridiculous to claim that) when for everyone else it’s extremely cold. Some people are even cold in the summer months and need their furnace units to perform all year round. Regardless of the scenario, getting your furnace fixed is something you should clearly get done sooner rather than later.

If your furnace is broken and you live in Vancouver, Burnaby, North Vancouver, Surrey, Langley, Coquitlam or Maple Ridge, call us today.
